3 Day Jungle Adventure Excursion
Travel 40 km through 3 ecosystems on the impressive Huallaga river, discover how the people live in this area, see marvels you have never seen before, and be in direct contact with the nature and the animals of the Amazon.
Itinerary
Day 01: Tarapoto /Chasuta / Maloca Lodge & Park
- Kuntur Journeys will receive and greet you at the airport (take the morning flight) from there you will be transferred to Chasuta (you will see the beautiful panorama of the Low Andes rainforest along the way)
- Boat trip on the Huallaga River ,(which leads all the way up to Brazil). Your destiny is the Malaco Lodge and Park, which is situated next to the village of Llucanayacu.
- You will be received with a tasty lunch and a local refreshment.
- You will recieve a brief instruction about the tour and can thereafter settle into your quarters
- After you have settled in we will go on a tour of the Maloca Lodge and Park. You will get to know the various places, like the fish ponds of piranhas, lake paiches, "poza de amor", cacao trees, the ceremonial Maloca building and much more. You will be walking through beautiful Amazon rainforest.
Day 02:
- Breakfast at 8.00
- At 9.oo we leave for the river excursion, where you will be guided to the hot springs, hot waterfalls, a river village and other interesting and beautiful places.
- Lunch during the river excursion at an appropriate spot.
- Shortly after lunch we will return to the lodge, where you will have the rest of the afternoon for yourselves (fishing, bird watching, swimming, walking, watching the animals).
- Dinner at 18.00
- In the evening we will do a nocturnal trip
Day 03:
- Breakfast between 8.00 and 9.00
- At 9.30 we leave for Chasuta by boat
- In Chasuta we will visit the local artesanias shops
- Afterwards we will bring you back to Tarapoto

- In the evening there will be a social event.
Day 03: River / village excursion
- Breakfast at 8.00
- At 9.oo we leave for the river/village excursion, where you will be guided to places of interest like hot springs, hot waterfalls, a river village and other interesting and beautiful places.
- Lunch during the river excursion at an appropriate spot
- Shortly after lunch we will return to the lodge, where you will have the rest of the afternoon for yourselves (fishing, canoeing, swimming, walking, bird watching)
- Dinner at 18.00
- In the evening we will do a nocturnal trip

- The rest of the day, relax and leave the stress behind, if you feel like it you can do a hike to a local small waterfall.
Day 02:
- Breakfast at 9.00
- After breakfast you will be transferred to Chasuta by car which takes 40 minutes and from Chasuta it takes 15 minutes per boat, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Huallaga river
- You will be received with a lunch and a local refreshment in our authentic Lodge building, surrounded by the rainforest.
- After you have settled in we will go on a tour of the Maloca Lodge and Park. You will get to know the various places, like the fish ponds of piranhas, lake paiches, "poza de amor", cacao trees, the ceremonial Maloca building and much more. Day 02 : Lagune Azul / Sauce
- From Tarapoto we transfer you the beautiful Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon or Lake) where you can enjoy time living directly at the lake and enjoying the opportunities that are offered.
Day 03: Puma Rinri Lodge / Shapaja
- Puma rinri Lodge (you will see the beautiful panorama of the high rainforest along the way)
- You will be received with a lunch and a local refreshment at the Puma Rinri Lodge with its majestic view.
